Denton is well known for a long, rich history of music and art and as a place that welcomes the unique individual, and actually begs them to stay in the community to continue to enhance the lives of the entire community. Although Denton has been touted as “the next Austin”, it stands alone as an affordable alternative to Austin, with a local government more like the rest of Texas, a significant bedroom community, and a close proximity to the Dallas and Fort Worth museums, music scenes and galleries.

Did we mention there are also 48-thousand university students in Denton, Texas? Most people are shocked to learn that the combined enrollments of UNT and TWU are stable at 48-thousand, a number larger than TCU, SMU and Texas Tech combined. Feel free to think about what a lively and dynamic community that creates in a “town” with a census count of 78-thousand in 2000!
